A Cultural Landmark Turned Celebration Space
Choosing the Art Institute of Chicago as their venue meant Maribeth & Andrew could exchange vows and celebrate surrounded by one of the city’s most treasured landmarks. Their ceremony unfolded on the grand Woman’s Board Staircase, where towering floral installations framed their vows in a breathtaking display of artistry.
For the reception, Griffin Court was transformed into an elegant, contemporary space that balanced romance with modern sophistication. Velvet green linens added richness and depth, crisp white florals kept the look fresh and timeless, and golden accents tied everything together. Sculptural candlelight bathed the room in a warm glow, giving the evening a sense of intimacy and celebration.
The Design Details
The design palette was rooted in lush greens, crisp whites, and subtle gold tones, a perfect nod to fall while still feeling timeless. Every element, from the table settings to the floral installations, was carefully chosen to create a cohesive and immersive guest experience. Guests were able to soak in the history and artistry of the venue while enjoying a reception that felt modern, stylish, and undeniably romantic.
